摘要: Abstract The inhibitive action of some quaternary N-heterocyclic compounds namely 1-methyl-4[4′(-X)-styryl] pyridinium iodides (X: -H, -Cl and -OH)on the corrosion Al–Cu alloy in 0.5 M HCl solutions was evaluated by potentiodynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy weight loss measurements. All studied showed good characteristics against tested their performance increases with inhibitor concentration. Polarization data indicated that are cathodic inhibitors without changing mechanism hydrogen evolution reaction. The adsorption all on obeys Langmiur isotherm. effect temperature (30–70 °C) inhibition efficiency at certain concentration investigated. revealed have pickling inhibitor's quality as they perform well even relatively high temperature. activation parameters ( E a , Δ H *, S * G *) were estimated discussed. It found values for inhibited higher than uninhibited solution, indicating physical mechanism. acid s anion
