摘要: Abstract The removal of two (or more) electrons by a single photon from an atom or molecule is fundamentally important process as it direct probe electron correlation. Synchrotron radiation provides photons over wide range energies infrared to X-rays photoexcite -ionize gaseous samples. With the help monochromator energy can be tuned study photon-energy dependence double-photoionization in which are emitted photon. In this chapter, I will discuss cross sections and associated double-to-single photoionization ratios for some atoms threshold high energies. also present recent experimental results on triple-photoionization process, particularly text book example lithium. Furthermore, multiple ionization selected molecules presented. contrast atoms, not only but fragmentation plays role experiments.
