摘要: The health effects of climate change have had relatively little attention from scientists and governments. Climate will be a major threat to population in the current century through its potential on communicable disease, heat stress, food water security, extreme weather events, vulnerable shelter migration. This paper addresses three health-sector strategies manage change-promotion mitigation, tackling pathways that lead ill-health strengthening systems. Mitigation greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions is affordable, low-carbon technologies are available now or near future. Pathways can managed better information, poverty reduction, technological innovation, social cultural greater coordination national international institutions. Strengthening systems requires increased investment order provide effective public responses climate-induced threats health, equitable treatment illness, promotion lifestyles renewable energy solutions within facilities. adaptation produce substantial benefits for such as reductions obesity heart diabetes, stress depression, pneumonia asthma, well cost savings sector. case mitigating by reducing GHGs overwhelming. need build resilience global already unavoidable real urgent. Action must not delayed contrarians, nor catastrophic fatalists who say it all too late.
