Temperature dependence of the absorption and refraction of Mg-doped congruent and stoichiometric LiNbO3 in the THz range

摘要: The absorption coefficient and the index of refraction undoped Mg-doped stoichiometric congruent LiNbO3 crystals were determined for polarization parallel to z axis in far-infrared (FIR) 30−180-cm−1 frequency range different Mg-doping levels temperatures down 10 K. For LiNbO3, smaller found, than samples. At a Mg content near photorefractive threshold, FIR has lowest value crystals, which are most suitable efficient pulse generation terahertz range.
