摘要: To find out temporal variations of net photosynthetic rate (NPR) intertidal flats, we measured oxygen microprofiles in sediments with microsensors 4 times from December 2003 to June 2004. The study areas were the intertidial flats Janghwa-ri and Dongmak-ri, located on southwestern southern parts Ganghwa-gun, respectively, Incheon North Harbor where content organic matter was relatively high. During investigation, penetration depths tidal Dongmak-ri high (mean values 4.0-4.1 mm). Thereafter, declined mean 2.2-2.8 mm 1.6-1.8 two flats. Interestingly, flat showed a lower range over period. maximum NPR found March , those In observed May. period when most active, highest concentration at 0.1-0.5 depth below surface sediment, average 1.8-3.2 higher than air-saturated overlying seawater. Although took into account low situ light intensity during investigation June, 3 decreased significantly less . Thus, somewhat different among Generally, benthic primary producers inhabiting uppermost 0.5 sediment peak activity spring. This is first domestic report rates microflora microsensors, use microsensor can be widely applied measurements production consumption surficial sediments.
