摘要: A premium “fuel-grade” petroleum coke is produced by modifying coking technology. Coking process parameters are controlled to consistently produce within a predetermined range for volatile combustible material (VCM) content. The invention includes of producing fuel, the method comprising steps: (a) obtaining precursor derived from crude oil and having organic component; (b) subjecting thermal cracking sufficient time at temperature under pressure so as product materials (VCMs) present in an amount about 13% 50% weight. Most preferably, typically may be 15% 30% also provides methods (1) altering crystalline structure, (2) improving quality VCM, (3) reducing concentration contaminants. Fuels made inventive energy through combustion such fuels included. Finally, novel environmental control techniques developed take optimal advantage unique characteristics this upgraded coke.
