摘要: In the present article fact is emphasized that neuropeptides often are located in same neurons as classical transmitters such acetylcholine, 5-hydroxy-tryptamine, catecholamines, γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) etc. This raises possibility produce, store and release more than one messenger molecule. The exact functional role of coesisting peptides difficult to evaluate, especially central nervous system. periphery some studies indicate apparently meaningful interactions different types with transmitter, but other actions including trophic effects have been observed. More recently it has shown contain e.g. 5-HT plus GABA, further underlining view transfer information across synapses may be compex perhaps hitherto assumed.
