摘要: Abstract Fatigue-life prediction of offshore pipelines becomes a major issue to ensure the integrity and reliability since many catastrophic failures piping components were caused by fatigue crack growth. Fatigue growth has been studied extensively experimental tests. It is well recognized that scale factors large amount costs on set up are challenges conduct full-scale test. The adequate confidence design oil gas system productions should be built upon series preliminary tests using numerical simulations. In our current work, systematic investigation carried out fracture resistance behavior containing an elliptical embedded under cyclic tension loadings. Extended finite element method (XFEM) adopted for influences different initial length stress ratio investigated in details. Furthermore, comparison between values obtained from theoretical analysis, BS7910 made rate, which it obvious results XFEM reasonable reliable.
