摘要: Abstract Electronic structure in three-dimensional quasicrystals is discussed both for simple tight-binding models of Penrose lattice and rationally approximated AlMn alloys. In lattice, there are several infinitelly degenerated states though they not generic quasi-periodicity. The electronic the latter system calculated by LMTO-ASA method with local density functional theory. alloys consists a set spiky peaks, stability role vacant center Mackay icosahedron discussed.
