摘要: Several known processes, such as single-photon double ionization and Auger decay, result in correlated emission of two electrons from an atom or molecule. The ratio to single these processes usually amounts only several percent. Recently, experiment was reported helium droplets doped with alkali dimers, where the dimer after excitation proceeds via interatomic Coulombic decay occurs efficiency comparable that usual decay. Motivated by experimental results, we investigate here theory this (dICD) process. First, develop explicit asymptotic formula for width dICD based on assumption electronically excited system providing necessary excess energy its neighbor are spatially well separated. This contains quantities accessible experimentally separated entities -- neighbor. Second, derive a general analytical expression using many-body perturbation theory. Finally, investigated realizable small atomic molecular clusters employing formula.
