摘要: 1. The aim of this study was to examine the effect muscle pH on metabolism and development fatigue during intense exercise. 2. Seven subjects performed exhaustive leg exercise two occasions: with without preceding intermittent arm leading high or moderate (control) blood lactate concentrations (HL C, respectively). Prior immediately after each bout, a biopsy taken from m. vastus lateralis active leg. Leg flow measured femoral arterial venous samples were collected before frequently exercises. 3. duration shorter in HL than C (3.46 +/- 0.28 vs. 4.67 0.55 min; means S.E.M.; P < 0.05). Before same (7.17 7.10), but at end lower (6.82 6.65; release potassium higher (P 0.05) compared plasma exhaustion C. 4. Muscle concentration (3.7 0.4 1.6 0.2 mmol (kg wet weight)-1; 0.05), (26.5 2.7 25.4 2.4 weight)-1). Total (18.7 4.5 50.4 11.0 mmol; rate production not different (9.0 1.0 10.2 1.3 weight)-1 min-1). glycogen breakdown (8.1 1.2 8.2 5. present data suggest that elevated acidity does reduce glycogenolysis/glycolysis is only cause man. Instead, accumulation interstitium may be an important factor fatigue.
