摘要: Succession after fire and bushcutting in coastal dune fynbos was monitored for two a half years comparisons were made with adjacent, mature (13 year-old) fynbos. Sixty-two to 68% of pre-disturbance species, including all the dominants, found successional communities 1.5 yr disturbance: patterns thus fitted initial floristic composition model. On more mesic south facing slope, post-fire succession differed from north-facing (burnt) bushcut sites that ordinations showed clear separation between communities. This difference due abundance on southfacing slope site short-and medium-lived species not present One disturbance, richness equitability had increased relative vegetation. increase greatest where juveniles dominants co-occurred. In general, consistent those described other fire-prone mediterranean shrublands.
