摘要: An equilibrium involves a balancing of forces. Just as one maintains upright posture in standing or walking, many self-regulatory and interpersonal behaviors can be framed act between an ever changing environment within-person processes. The emerging balance person environment, the equilibria, are dynamic adaptive response to development learning. A distinction is made achieved solely due short timescale forces longer preferred which we define state towards system slowly adapts. Together, these developed into framework that this article calls Adaptive Equilibrium Regulation (AER), separates regulatory process two timescales: faster regulation automatically balances slower adaptation reconfigures fast so move its when environmental force persists over timescale. This way thinking leads novel models for interplay multiple timescales behavior, learning, development.
