摘要: A ceramic cellular structure having a cell density of up to 1600 cells per square inch and wall thicknesses down 2 mils is produced by process which comprises: (1) forming slurry consisting essentially finely divided sinterable solid particles raw materials controlled amount plastic supporting matrix containing thermoplastic resin, thermosetting plasticizer, an organic solvent small deflocculant; (2) ball milling the slurry; (3) casting in form film; (4) removing produce self-supporting green tape; (6) molding portion tape corrugated first member; (7) providing another substantially flat second (8) bilayer bonding member nodes (9) mutually predetermined number bilayers identical desired shape; (10) firing at temperature sufficient sinter-welded polycrystalline structure. The fired structures, after being subjected various finishing operations, are useful as rotary heat regenerators, stationary recuperators catalyst supports.
