摘要: The Ranque–Hilsch effect, observed in swirling flow within a single tube, is spontaneous separation of total temperature, with the colder stream near tube centreline and hotter air its periphery. Despite simplicity, mechanism effect has been matter long-standing dispute. Here we demonstrate, through analysis experiment, that acoustic streaming, induced by orderly disturbances is, to substantial degree, cause effect. predicts streaming pure tone, spinning wave corresponding first tangential mode, deforms base Rankine vortex into forced vortex, resulting temperature radial direction. This confirmed experiments, where, uniflow arrangement, install suppressors organ-pipe type, tuned discrete frequency attenuate amplitude, show this does indeed reduce separation.
