ABSTRACT It is quite common rival studies to be published using econometric methods reach opposite conclusions about the same set of data. Multiple regression and other mathematical modeling techniques have simply not lived up their promise as method evaluating impact public policies. Regression models that been demonstrated work with fresh data, than data used create them, are junk science. Many social scientists devoted years learning teaching modeling. They continue use make causal arguments justified by but get repeated over in policy arguments. I call these myths regression.
