摘要: The global problem of acute pesticide poisoning has been confirmed as extensive by a variety independent estimates. Further, it is also recognized to be confined the developing countries. Most estimates concerning extent have based on data from hospital admissions which would include only more serious cases. latest estimate WHO task group indicates that there may 1 million unintentional poisonings each year and in addition 2 people hospitalized for suicide attempts with pesticides. This necessarily reflects fraction real problem. On basis survey self-reported minor carried out Asian region, estimated could many 25 agricultural workers world suffering an episode year. article emphasizes need control collaborative all concerned, including national governments, agrochemical industries, international agencies, scientists victims.
