摘要: The radiographic patterns of the skeleton 73 patients affected by multiple myeloma (MM) were compared to correspondent scintigraphic findings. Whole body scans performed using 99m Tc-diphosphonates (bone scintigraphy), and Tc-microcolloids marrow scintigraphy). results indicate that: a) radiography is more sensitive accurate than scintigraphy in detecting typical myeloma-related bone lesions; b) useful alterations particular locations--i.e., sternum, ribs, scapulae, etc.--which are difficult demonstrate plain X-rays; moreover, recovery fractures can be visualized; c) employed presence expansion, cold/hot spots, relative uptake, related phagocytic activity. Since adult men red confined epiphysis long bones spine, all diseases affecting cause medullary expansion/reduction, which both easily detected specific radiopharmaceuticals. peripheral expansion clearly documented especially distal humeri femora since uptake included, healthy adults, axial proximal appendicular skeleton. In spite its yielding unique information, remains an additional technique scan, because low diagnostic accuracy.
