摘要: Transcription factors (TFs) play key roles in the regulation of gene expression by binding a sequence-specific manner to genomic DNA. In eukaryotes, DNA is achieved wide range structural forms and motifs. TFs are typically classified their DNA-binding domain (DBD) type. this chapter, we catalogue survey 91 different TF DBD types metazoa, plants, fungi, protists. We briefly discuss well-characterized families representing major superclasses. also examine species distributions inferred evolutionary histories various families, potential played family expansion dimerization.
