摘要: The large quantity of fern spores deposited on the ground after dispersal may germinate immediately in favourable habitat or form a soil spore bank which has immense potential for ecological conservation species. As buried are known to remain viable several years, establishment and regeneration populations re-colonization species new sites occur. Fern source future gametes, allow fertilization by union gametes from that were produced different years consequence develop into sporophytes with novel genetic combinations leading additional biodiversity. This filter fitness fluctuations earlier growing seasons. In areas where restoration original vegetation is necessary it very important study banks. such, banks have value not only as resource situ dwindling populations, but also re-establishing extinct communities. India being rich pteridophytic flora diverse economical values, Indian largely unexplored natural study. There enormous scope this field research increase knowledge ferns purposes particularly threatened importance.
