摘要: Alcohol has an important economic and socio-cultural place in the UK. It creates jobs, generates fiscal revenues form of alcohol taxes, contributed around £2.7 billion2 in 2007 to economy through trade (ONS, 2007b). is shared social interactions, drunk as accompaniment meals. At time, some alcoholrelated harms have grown this period; example, there were 8,758 deaths from alcohol-related causes 2006, twice 15 years before (National Audit Office, 2008). While large body literature focusing on variety extent public health criminal justice impacts use, its impact received relatively less attention. In order help Government assess full range implications from proposed pricing policies, RAND Europe undertaken study to provide evidence area potential following three pricing policy options: minimum pricing, ban below-cost sales, taxation.
