摘要: The anuran family Rhinophrynidae today comprises a single species restricted to southernmost Texas and Central America. Three extinct genera allied this are known from the Jurassic (Rhadinosteus) Eocene (Chelomophrynus, Eorhinophrynus), whereas sole extant genus Rhinophrynus is latest (Chadronian) of Saskatchewan Pleistocene Mexico. We provide first records Oligocene eastern North From two oldest terrestrial vertebrate sites on Florida peninsula (I-75, early Oligocene; Brooksville 2, late Oligocene), we have identified one nearly complete several partial humeri, radioulnae, presacral vertebrae, three ilia, femur that all referable Rhinophrynidae. These specimens similar in size canadensis, smaller than R. dorsalis, might be distinguishable both by features ilium humerus. presence rhinophrynids during provides indication change fauna Cenozoic.
