摘要: Experimental study of parasitic mode suppression using electromagnetic attenuate material FeSiAl in an S-band Relativistic Klystron Amplifier (RKA) is presented this paper. The powder coated and sintered onto the inner surface a drift tube which locates between input middle cavity RKA. Cold tests show that rate against TE11 about 50%. Experiments carried out on Torch-01 accelerator present effective suppressing mode. Two typical outputs are obtained. When diode voltage moderate level, RKA operates well totally suppressed. pulse length High Power Microwave (HPM) almost equals electron beam HPM average output power 300 MW, with efficiency 10%. higher rise but oscillation occurred shortened. By contrast, too strong for to operate normally un-sintered tube. experimental implies certain extent. However, total needs deeper further investigation.
