摘要: In the last decades, biodiversity is facing many threats related to expansion and development of human populations. With aim mainstreaming conservation together with sustainable development, several conflicting necessities economic, social, environmental institutional objectives society have be balanced within complex decisionmaking contexts. Conventional approaches hardly cope these demands, therefore conceptual models are required for understanding ecosystems form functions how activities impact on them. International organisations committed initiatives recognised importance effectiveness an integrated, participative adaptive approach ecosystem management. this perspective, computerised tools facilitate overall view support informed aware decisions required. The Systemic Spatial Decision Support System, here presented, a comprehensive tool holistic, multi-scale, spatially explicit tailor-made such decisional environments. core methodology builds upon years experience in international projects supported by Italian Development Cooperation, complemented ad hoc, easily customisable software shell. Its characteristics provide ideal framework effective administration initiatives, as well training consolidating expert knowledge.
