Pb5Bi24Se41: A new member of the homologous series forming topological insulator heterostructures

摘要: Abstract We have synthesized Pb 5 Bi 24 Se 41 , which is a new member of the (PbSe) (Bi 2 3 ) m homologous series with =4. This compounds consist alternating layers topological insulator and ordinary PbSe. Such naturally-formed heterostructure has recently been elucidated to give rise peculiar quasi-two-dimensional states throughout bulk, discovery expands tunability in this interesting series. The trend resistivity anisotropy suggests an important role hybridization out-of-plane transport.
