摘要: Many state-of-the-art lossless image compression standards feature adaptive error modelling. This, however, leads to data dependency loops of the scheme such that a parallel neighboring pixels is not possible. In this paper, we analyse parallelism provided in JPEG-LS by large number different and independent context sets. An out-of-order scheduling algorithm introduced selecting classified be contexts. These are processed parallel. The compressed fully compatible with ISO/IEC 14495-1 standard. A prototype implementation on modern GPU verify an overall speedup.
