摘要: Ion mobility-mass spectrometry (IM-MS), performed with exceptional resolution and sensitivity in a new uniform-field drift tube ion mobility quadrupole time-of-flight (IM-QTOF) instrument, is shown to provide useful tool for resolving characterizing crude oils their contaminants, as well petrofuels additives. Whereas direct analysis of oil sample contaminated demulsifiers by the classical ESI(±)-FTICR-MS petroleomic approach was unsatisfactory since it responds only abundance m/z, ionization impaired due suppression polar compounds additives likely used petroleum industry, IM-MS enables separation ions, particularly double bond equivalent (DBE) series giving CnX class providing separated spectra which are typical obtained either or even suffering low efficiency. The combination improved IM high mass power (40,000@400) QTOF instrument provides information on (N, NO, NS, etc.), carbon number (Cn), unsaturation levels oils, allowing one infer geochemical properties from DBE trends that can be compared data. As demonstrated results gasoline samples additives, system also allows efficient characterization contaminants petrofuels.
