Diode-laser sensor for air-mass flux 2 : Nonuniform flow modeling and aeroengine tests

摘要: Diode-laser mass flux sensor measurements are performed with a readout rate of 1 Hz in Pratt and Whitney turbofan aeroengine during ground testing. The installation the fiber-coupled into engine is described. sensor's line-of-sight path has significant deviations from uniform flow, potential errors these nonuniformities magnitude direction velocity investigated. inferred Doppler shift wavelength-scanned line shape molecular oxygen absorption near 764 nm using wavelength-modulation spectroscopy detection at twice modulation frequency (2f). distortion spectroscopy-2/ variations found to be small subsonic velocities, which leads accurate determination center Doppler-shifted shape. apparent then corrected account for flow approximations. With this correction, diode-laser agrees (∼1%) concurrent calibrated aeroengine.
