摘要: A growing collection of bacterial riboswitch classes is being discovered that sense central metabolites, coenzymes, and signaling molecules. Included among the various mechanisms gene regulation exploited by these RNA regulatory elements are several modulate messenger (mRNA) translation. In this review, riboswitch-mediated translation control summarized to highlight both their diversity potential ancient origins. These include ligand-gated presentation or occlusion ribosome-binding sites, alternative splicing mRNAs, mRNA stability. Moreover, speculation on for novel discoveries presented, including a discussion discovery greater control.
