Parallel Computation of Magnetic Fluxtube Reconnection

摘要: Reconnection of magnetic fluxtubes is an important energy conversion process in many solar coronal events. We here describe several recent advances that we have made the numerical simulation this process. The simulations are carried out using a new version our algorithm for solving viscoresistive equations compressible magnetohydrodynamics. has been parallelized Connection Machine CM5. present at resolution 1283 Fourier modes reconnection initially orthogonal, uniform twist, force-free, fluxtubes. physical model and some preliminary results. A discussion parallelism issues related to also presented.
