摘要: Areas of high concentrations particulates in the urban atmosphere are hypothesized to strongly influence solar receipt nearby nonpolluted regions. Reductions radiation areas by upsun aerosol regions computed using a three-dimensional multi-scattering model for specified solar-elevation classes. Numerical simulations from this indicate that reductions exceeding 10 percent can occur several kilometers downsun even moderately polluted early morning (i.e., periods low angle). Although global quite pronounced day, they generally overwhelmed daily total because relatively small amount associated with low-elevation angles. A series three representative latitudes (33°N, 43°N and 53°N) demonstrate areal extent shadowing is highly dependent on latitude. 3 15 km down range center pollution high-latitude (53°N) locations during early-morning, angle periods. Such excessive attenuation may affect site selection power facilities, planning siting parks, golf courses other recreational activities, migration tourism trends experiencing seasonal population changes sunbelt states), temperature regime region.
