摘要: In his contribution to the report of U. S. National Committee International Union Geodesy and Geophysics for period 1971–1974, Ralph Cicerone (1975) concluded with following remark: “Hopefully, it is clear that 1971–1974 was a very active one, if mostly because threats our climate well being.” The intensity activities in research ozone layer during past four years have certainly equalled those 1971–1974. Great advances been made, especially understanding fundamental photochemical processes which govern distribution atmosphere. Altogether this decade has seen so many unforeseen developments will be difficult find another field atmospheric science provided comparable amount excitement.
