摘要: Background The main goal of this collaborative effort is to provide genome-wide data for the previously underrepresented population in Eastern Europe, and cross-validation from genome sequences genotypes same individuals acquired by different technologies. We collected 97 genome-grade DNA samples consented representing major regions Ukraine that were public release. BGISEQ-500 sequence an Illumina GWAS chip cross-validated on multiple additionally referenced 1 sample has been resequenced NovaSeq6000 S4 at high coverage. Results have searched genomic variation represented population, a number variants reported: large structural variants, indels, copy variations, single-nucletide polymorphisms, microsatellites. To our knowledge, study provides largest to-date survey genetic Ukraine, creating reference resource aiming medical research understudied population. Conclusions Our results indicate diversity Ukrainian uniquely shaped evolutionary demographic forces cannot be ignored future biomedical studies. These will contribute wealth new information bringing forth novel, endemic medically related alleles.
