摘要: We used a Cellular Automata (CA) modeling framework to simulate the evolution of two small-size wildland fires that broke up in Sardinia, Italy summer 2010. The CA model is based on our established detailed has been shown approximate adequately large-scale wildfires Greece. modified simplified takes into account landscape characteristics, distribution flammability and wind field data. Simulation results over an ensemble lattice realizations show captures qualitatively actual data; however, significant quantitative differences between simulations real patterns do exist for very small sizes burned area. Comparing with data obtained from Greece, where succeeded quite well spatio-temporal fires, we suggest discrepancies are due size fires. We fires.
