摘要: Abstract Proton NMR measurements were conducted on a U-type model quaternary nonionic microemulsion containing varying amounts of water and having fixed weight ratio surfactant [octaethylene glycol mono-n-dodecylether; C12(EO)8], cosurfactant (pentanol), oil (dodecane). Chemical shift andT1relaxation time data used to obtain information about the properties structure. A slow exchange was observed between hydroxyls water, C12(EO)8, pentanol in microemulsions up 10 wt% water. This is precedence hydroxyl–water interaction over hydration ethylene oxide (EO) groups surfactant. The fraction bound calculated from chemical andT1data. For system, indicated an inversion W/O O/W at 55–60 agreement with microviscosity values evaluated fromT1data: 1.1 cP (55 water) compared 4.7 (30 12.7 (10.7 water). irregularities monotonic dependence shifts content 18 55 interpreted possibly reflect structural changes that took place solution.
