摘要: In December 2001, a spaceborne laser altimeter will be launched into near-polar, near-circular orbit to measure changes in polar ice-sheet topography, as well along-track land and ocean topography. The measurements address fundamental questions about the growth or shrinkage of ice-sheets their contribution current future global sea level rise fall. measurements, which also include cloud heights, made using 1064 nm pulse. An atmospheric channel, 532 pulse, aerosol vertical profiles other properties.
