摘要: Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) has become an alternative method to experiments for understanding the fluid dynamics of multiphase flow. A two-fluid model, which contains additional terms in both gas- and solid-phase momentum equations, is used investigate fluidization quality a fluidized bed. case study quartz sand with density 2,660 kg/m3 diameter 500 μm, whose physical property similar new kind catalyst producing clean fuels through residue catalytic cracking process, simulated two-dimensional bed 0.57 m width 1.00 height. Transient bubbling collapsing characteristics are numerically investigated platform CFX 4.4 by integrating user-defined Fortran subroutines. The results show that collapse process fair agreement classical theory Geldart B classification, but time affected bubbles at interface between dense phase freeboard.
