Spatial and Temporal Variation of the Optical Path Length in Flash-Pumped Laser Rods*

摘要: The change of the optical path length in laser rods, under process flash pumping, depends on temperature increase material due to an absorption pump and radiation, stress-optical effects, varying population levels active ions. A quantitative comparison these three effects has shown that path-length is predominantly determined by variations. Thermal have been experimentally investigated interferometric technique. dependence variations within pumping period energy, time, arrangement, geometrical configuration, doping concentration rod analyzed for ruby Nd+++ doped glass rods.
