摘要: Cocrystallization of 1-hydroxyethyl-2-methyl-5-nitroimidazole (metronidazole) and 5-sulfosalicylic acid (5-H2SSA) from methanol solution yields the title salt, C6H10N3O3+·C7H5O6S−. In crystal structure, ions are linked by a combination intermolecular O—H⋯O, N—H⋯O C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming three-dimensional framework. The hydroxyl group cation is disordered over two sites in 0.860 (4):0.140 (4) ratio.
