摘要: Noradrenaline plays an important role in many normal brain functions, e.g., attention, memory, and emotion. Dysfunction the noradrenergic system is thought to lead a number of abnormal conditions. The lack suitable vivo tracers monitor noradrenaline release, levels, regulation has hampered our fully understanding roles that it brain. Presented here are data showing binding alpha2-adrenoceptor antagonist [3H]RX 821002 sensitive endogenous noradrenaline. Elevation extracellular noradrenaline, using three different pharmacological challenges rat, led reduction potential (BP) when compared with vehicle controls. used were i.p. administration D-amphetamine, imidazoline2 site-selective ligand BU224, L-deprenyl. Of cortical regions measured, BP reached significance anterior cingulate cortex for all these challenges. These initial observations rat indicate labelling alpha2-adrenoceptors RX can be estimate changes concentration cortex. This enable investigation both and, if radiolabelled positron-emitting isotope at high specific radioactivity, could invaluable PET tracer.
