摘要: This paper describes the model and simulation results of port flow field investigations on a two-stroke poppet valve engine. Higher power to weight ratio has been advantage engine over four-stroke However, poor emissions have plagued ported design which is main mass produced for small engines. By employing configuration, gas exchange performance, hence can be improved. In order verify this, two-dimensional (2D) three-dimensional models are developed illustrate with proposed timings obtained from one-dimensional numerical analysis. Several changes cylinder investigated through simulation. Further insight into fluid mechanics provided by examining in-cylinder velocity fields. The 2D shown that having shroud inlet valve, short-circuiting minimised without any modification head. Further, 3D sufficient swirl occurs in but tumble not apparent.
