摘要: Abstract Having established previously that prematurity in The Gambia is associated with impaired maternofetal transfer of some specific antibodies, we investigated the influence low birthweight and on placental IgG subclasses 180 Gambian mothers their newborn babies. A physician-blinded, cross-sectional study mother-baby pairs was carried out labour ward Bansang Hospital, Gambia. Paired maternal cord serum samples were collected from newborns.
