Commons and the legacy of the past. Regulation and uses of common lands in twentieth century Spain

摘要: The authors explore the transformation of common lands in Spain second half 20th Century, when nation experienced significant structural and political changes. If 19th Century was defined by privatisation lands, slight growth, but there were differences among regions. Although legal definition classification is fixed, determined municipal entity, new formulas (such as montes vecinales en mano comun regulated 1968) appeared to solve tension between state local control. Ultimately, flexibility main characteristic regulations which allowed for adapting uses a diversity regional circumstances. Along with productive environmental regulations, use social purposes through distribution plots cultivation emphasised. Nevertheless, at end Spanish legislation concerning more focused on earlier norms than future.
