摘要: Abstract Three plant sulfate transporter cDNAs have been isolated by complementation of a yeast mutant with cDNA library derived from the tropical forage legume Stylosanthes hamata. Two these cDNAs, shst1 and shst2, encode high-affinity H+/sulfate cotransporters that mediate uptake roots low concentrations in soil solution. The third, shst3, represents different subtype encoding lower affinity cotransporter, which may be involved internal transport between cellular or subcellular compartments within plant. steady-state level mRNA corresponding to both subtypes is subject regulation signals ultimately respond external supply. These represent identification members family related proteins whose sequences exhibit significant amino acid conservation filamentous fungi, yeast, plants, mammals.
