摘要: Abstract Adenosine 3′,5′-cyclic monophosphate (cAMP) and guanosine (cGMP) are well-established second messengers, whereas the physiological role of cyclic pyrimidine nucleotides cytidine (cCMP) uridine (cUMP) is poorly understood. Certain mammalian nucleotidyl cyclases (NCs) bacterial NC toxins can generate cCMP cUMP. Human HEK293 cells rat B103 neuroblastoma neuronal origin possess high basal concentrations cUMP that be attributed to soluble adenylyl cyclase activity. These data prompted us conduct a systematic analysis nucleoside (cNMP) across tree life. were identified in many cell lines primary cells. cNMP patterns varied broadly among cells, several systems, quite high. Prokaryotes, fungi, amoeba invertebrates lacked cUMP, cAMP was found High astrocytes. The distinct support specific messenger roles specifically
