摘要: Correct formulas for the microwave shielding effectiveness (SE) of a thin metallic layer deposited on top dielectric slab are derived. For coatings much thinner than skin depth, following holds: (a) in half-wave geometry, SE is function sheet resistance only, (in dB)=20*log(1+188.5/R/sub s/) if R/sub s/ ohms per square; (b) quarter-wave dB)=20*log((1+ epsilon /sub r/)/(2 square root r/)+188.5/( r/R/sub s/)), where r/ refers to constant substrate. These provide upper and lower limits effective performance an electroconductive coated slab. >
