摘要: Hunting bags should be a good measure of wild boar ( Sus scrofa ) abundance and/or density and can used to analyse habitat population relationships. For this reason, the harvest fifteen hunting areas located in southern Tuscany (from 2001 2005) was investigated order evaluate effect environmental variables measured by G.I.S. software. each area percentage 13 land use classes intersecting with digitalized land-use map. Moreover perimeter bordering protected woody main water bodies were measured. Correlation regression analyses carried out considering as dependent variable. Twelve multiple models including three ranked information-theroetic approach (modified Akaike’s information criterion). Protected (Parks Wildlife Refuges), where it is not allowed, resulted most important variable predicting positively yealds may play role over-abundance species. Also young woodlands (naturally regenerated or coppice), chestnut woods conifer showed positive effect. Models obtained from data maps very useful plan management at local scale. These are generally available quickly collectables. However relationships carefully interpreted possible modifications elaboration consequence forest evolution. Download complete issue.
