摘要: The history of humankind is full examples that indicate a constant desire to make human beings more moral. Nowadays, technological breakthroughs might have significant impact on our moral character and abilities. This the case Virtual Reality (VR) technologies. aim this paper consider ethical aspects use VR in enhancing empathy. First, we will offer an introduction VR, explaining its fundamental features, devices concepts. Then, approach characterization as “empathy machine”, showing why medium has aroused so much interest why, nevertheless, do not believe it ideal way enhance As alternative, fostering empathy-related abilities through virtual embodiment avatars. However, final section, examine some serious concerns related relevance empathy defend philosophical for reason-guided empathy, also suggesting specific guidelines possible future developments enhancement projects embodied experiences.
