Magnetic properties and thermal expansion of YbGaxGe2-x (0.9 ≤ x ≤ 1.5)

摘要: Abstract The composition dependence of the Yb valence and thermal expansion have been studied in YbGa x Ge 2 − system. X-ray diffraction reveals that single-phased samples isostructural to YbGaGe are obtained range 0.9 ≤ 1.5 . magnetic susceptibility shows systems almost nonmagnetic below room temperature, indicating a stable + state for lattice constants as well volume these found decrease monotonically with decreasing suggesting absence zero thermal-expansion previously reported YbGaGe.
