摘要: Several species of Botr yosphaeria are known to occur on grapevines, causing a wide range disorders including bud mortality, dieback, brown wood streaking and bunch rot. In this study the 11 Botryosphaeria spp. associated with grapevines growing in various parts world, but primarily South Africa, distinguished based morphology, DNA sequences (ITS-1, 5.8S, ITS-2 EF1-α) pathological data. australis, B. lutea, obtusa, parva, rhodina Diplodia sp. confirmed from while porosum, Fusicoccum viticlavatum F. vitifusiforme described as new. Although isolates dothidea stevensii Portugal, neither these occurred nor were any ribis grapevines. All grapevine formerly presumed be ribis, identified parva their EF1-α equence From artificial inoculations shoots, we conclude that more virulent than other studied. The collected canes is morphologically similar phylogenetically distinct D. sarmentorum. sarmentorum anamorph Otthia spiraeae, type genus (Botryosphaeriaceae). A culture O. spiraeae clustered within thus regarded probable synonym. These findings confirm earlier suggestions generic concept should expanded include genera septate ascospores anamorphs.
